Great outdoor patio and small parking lot available in the back. Ample indoor space for eating. Friendly and helpful server; she helped me decide between a BBQ sandwich and seaplate with veggies. The seabass with bacon and hazelnut crust and sautéed veggies (squash, tomatoes, and garlic) was light and delicious!

If I could give ten stars I would. The food was amazing. I am picky in not eating food I don't prepare and always watching sugar and salt. But the amazing quality was like homemade and so packed with fresh ingredients. Oh but I did have those fritters. Wow. And the staff and wonderful Likes it so much I'm trying lunch there this week. Make reservations as it gets packed

We ate here Tuesday for lunch and as always the service was great! Danni was our server extraordinary. My bass was perfect although my husbands salmon was a little dry. That doesn't usually happen. We love to eat there and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

The food is far from boring, offering many classic Americana/Traditional dishes oft times with a Southern accent. You're transported to a simpler time & place with its farmhouse chic interior & magical garden exterior. However the prices can slap you back to reality. The Dinner menu hovers around $20 to the high $30 range but portions are generous (you can also order a half portion for a lower price on several offerings) & the food is delicious. The quality is apparent & it's a great place to treat yourself or someone else. It's a perfect place to celebrate something. The staff is really on the ball, attentive & warmly professional. When the server comes with the famous basket over their arm producing apple fritters & muffins it's very country charm. Wow! They don't just put these carbo treats in front of me all at once, they use tongs & dole them out on a plate individually! I must be in Georgia! Some of the dishes our party of 6 ordered: Pistachio encrusted Salmon (from the Specials Menu) Looked good! Dallas Chicken & Mashed Potatoes with country gravy (delightfully rich & homemade). Blackened Salmon Salad (ordered without the blackened) a generous sized salmon fillet surrounded by large wedges of tomatoes on a bed of greens. I had the Lemon Chicken with a buttery sauce sprinkled with lots of capers. Think Chicken Piccata. My choice of side was Green Beans & they were fresh & sautéed nicely. You have a choice of soup or salad. I went with the cup of Roasted Chicken something...tomatillo maybe. It was an herbaceous tortilla soup. Good but a tad too salty. Some longtime Los Alamitos residents & visitors may recall this place used to be home to Jabberwocky Java in the (late 70's) 80's, a colorfully independent coffee house. Next door was Buzzard's Glory, a super cool indoor houseplant & nursery. The lush atmosphere of those bygone days remains intact. Parking lot is small so carpool if you can.

This restaurant is super quaint and boasts a really cute outdoor space. Although their indoor space looks like you're having brunch at grandmas house, both are cozy. Ordered their salmon tacos. It was just ok. If this was my first time here, I prob wouldn't come back based on this dish but luckily I've been here a handful of times. Quality is good for pricing and it's local. Their apple fritters served with whipped butter is a wonderful "bread" before your meal is serviced. I'd highly recommend coming here (just not the salmon tacos) and you'll enjoy the place!

Shenandoah at the Arbors was such a cute restaurant with a lovely garden and cottage vibe ambience. It felt super cozy inside with the fireplace and heaters. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The complementary fritters they serve are super fresh, soft, and delicious. For appetizers, I ordered the Texas trio which had a variety of great items, all packed with a savory flavor. My main enter was the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Good sandwich, but not mind blowing. The sweet potato's really stood out.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 The complimentary fritters were absolutely delicious with a smear of butter, and as soon as I took a bite, I was transported to Main Street at Disneyland - there's something so nostalgic about them. They also provided what looked like complimentary cornbread, but I wanted to save room for my entree. For my main dish, I ordered the crab cake melt with fruit as my side. I should have stopped at half my sandwich and saved the rest for later, but it was creamy with just the right amount of pepper jack cheese and aioli, so I couldn't help but finish it! I was here with a larger group, so I can't fault the staff too much, but the food did take close to an hour to come out, and the staff were a little confused about who ordered which dish. But service was very warm and friendly. As for the atmosphere, I loved the cozy interior and the Christmas decor. Unfortunately, it was pretty chilly inside, since they left the doors completely open and didn't seem to have any heating. Unfortunately, I chose to wear a dress today, so my legs were freezing throughout the entire meal.
